The Auditors is an ongoing South Korean television series written by Choi Min Ho, co-directed by Kwon Young Il and Joo Sang Gyu, and starring Shin Ha Kyun, Lee Jung Ha, Jin Goo and Jo A Ram. It premiered on tvN on July 6, 2024, and airs every Saturday and Sunday at 21:20 KST.
The Auditors Plot
Shin Cha Il begins work as the leader of the audit team at JU Construction, where corruption runs rampant. Shin Cha Il doesn’t have faith in other people. He has a cool demeanor and carries out his work with sharp judgment and decisive action. The audit team also includes rookie employee Gu Han Soo. He initially applied for the audit team as a steppingstone to get transferred to his company’s Florida branch, but his plan was not easy because of Shin Cha Il. Unlike his boss, Gu Han Soo is a nice and warm-hearted person. Working with Shin Cha Il, Gu Han Soo grows as an audit team member.
Meanwhile, Hwang Dae Woong is the vice president of JU Construction, and he is the third son of the company’s founder. His ambition is to become the president of the company by beating his two older brothers for the position.
Yoon Seo Jin is also a rookie employee on the audit team at JU Construction. She is an individualist who aims for success. She has a totally opposite personality from Goo Han Soo. She has also known Vice President Hwang Dae Woong since she was a child, but they pretend that they don’t know each other at work.

Everyone in the audit team’s office says that a month has passed and yet the post of team leader is vacant, why is the president not doing anything. Later everyone comes to the cafeteria and talks about food. But here we see Cha Il that he talks rudely to them and calls them incapable. The audit team asks him who are you. Cha Il told them that I have come here to give interview for the post of Audit Team Leader.
In the next scene, the members of the audit team were talking about Cha Il whether he was telling the truth. They said to Han Soo to go and check the Cha Il Interview. There is Cha Il too was giving interview and saying that I have come here to end corruption. There are many corrupt people in this construction, I have to catch them. Han Soo is also here & he thought Cha Il excluded from the interview. But when Han Soo comes to the office the next morning, he finds Cha Il sitting on the team leader’s chair. Later other members of the team also come here. Cha II told them that we have already met in the cafeteria so let’s have a meeting directly. In the meeting, Cha Il talks about the crane incident that happened at the beginning of the episode and asks to interview Young Sik. But Han Soo says that Young Sik is innocent. Cha II was asking for proof. Han Soo says that I am trust on him. Cha Il is saying that I don’t want trust, I want proof.

Cha Il now takes Han Soo with him to the construction site. Here also Han Soo Cha says that Young Sik is innocent. Cha Il tell him that you are not perfect for this job, I am giving you a week’s time, you can get yourself transferred to some other team. Now he checks Il Young Sik’s desk and takes away his laptop. But then the Young Sik comes and goes away with his laptop. Now Han Soo asks Young Sik to stay. But when Cha Il was coming to Young Sik to take the laptop then Young Sik falls down. Then he has to be admitted to the hospital. Cha Il was still asking him questions and Han Soo is telling him to stop. Later Cha Il meet Gil Pyo. Gil Pyo is also asking to return the laptop. Cha II is asking him how you came to know about the laptop, did Young Sik tell you about it. Gil Pyo says that he had told me so why it happened. Cha Il saying that you too have relation with Young Sik. Gil Pyo shouts and asks to bring the laptop. Cha II says that you will get the laptop after checking the data of the laptop.
In the next scene, the managing director of Ju Construction also meets the duty manager of the team leader (Gyeong Seok) and asks him to bring a laptop and later talks about making him the team leader. Later, Gyeong Seok tasks Han Soo with bringing a laptop and promises Han Soo that he will get him a job at the Florida Branch. Then Cha Il and Han Soo come to the Myung tower’s president (Ha Yeon) and Cha Il says that you have done this work together with Gil Pyo and asked for the old crane and saved the money, you have embezzled it. Ha Yeon sends Han Soo away from here and begs Cha Il not to investigate him. Han Soo was also watching this from the window.

Cha Il is using stun gun on them, but a man comes from behind and attacks Cha Il on the head and takes away the laptop. In the next scene, Cha Il wakes up but there is no laptop near him, Seo Jin calls him and tells him that Young Bae has gone missing from the hospital. later Cha Il comes near Gil Pyo and is answering questions, then the Vice President of Construction Dae Woong comes here and now Dae Woong sees Cha Il.

I liked episode 1 very much. Everyone has played their character correctly. The way Cha Il is investigating the people is also amazing. Although many k drama lowers do not like such k drama.
