The Auditors is an ongoing South Korean television series written by Choi Min Ho, co-directed by Kwon Young Il and Joo Sang Gyu, and starring Shin Ha Kyun, Lee Jung Ha, Jin Goo and Jo A Ram. It premiered on tvN on July 6, 2024, and airs every Saturday and Sunday at 21:20 KST.
The Auditors Plot
Shin Cha Il begins work as the leader of the audit team at JU Construction, where corruption runs rampant. Shin Cha Il doesn’t have faith in other people. He has a cool demeanour and carries out his work with sharp judgment and decisive action. The audit team also includes rookie employee Gu Han Soo. He initially applied for the audit team as a steppingstone to get transferred to his company’s Florida branch, but his plan was not easy because of Shin Cha Il. Unlike his boss, Gu Han Soo is a nice and warm-hearted person. Working with Shin Cha Il, Gu Han Soo grows as an audit team member.
Meanwhile, Hwang Dae Woong is the vice president of JU Construction, and he is the third son of the company’s founder. His ambition is to become the president of the company by beating his two older brothers for the position.
Yoon Seo Jin is also a rookie employee on the audit team at JU Construction. She is an individualist who aims for success. She has a totally opposite personality from Goo Han Soo. She has also known Vice President Hwang Dae Woong since she was a child, but they pretend that they don’t know each other at work.

The Auditors Episode 2 Recap
At the beginning of the episode Cha Il and Dae Woong are talking. Dae Woong tells Cha Il that I heard that the crane flew away due to the wind so what is the need to audit in this, but Cha Il says that there is a scandal behind this. In the next scene, Gil Pyo was asking Jae Seong about the laptop, but he did not know where the laptop was. On the other hand, the Audit team was conducting an interview of Mr. Choi because during the accident Mr. Choi fell down from the crane but only his leg got hurt and this thing is not digestible and along with that Yong Sik who He had gone missing from the hospital, and they also talk about finding him.

In the next scene, Cha Il and Han Soo come near Mr. Choi and ask what had happened on the day of the accident. But they could not find anything special. Later Han Soo comes to Young Sik’s daughter to find out about Young Sik, but Young Sik is not here. After Han Soo remember a past scene when a man was carrying a laptop, then I gave him an electronic shock and I took the laptop. Now Han Soo comes home in the evening & look at the crane contract on the laptop which is different. Later Han Soo come to the company in the evening so that he can keep the laptop in Cha Il’s office, but Dae Woong is there who takes the laptop. Later in the evening Han Soo call Cha Il and tell him that Dae Woong has took the laptop. Although Cha Il is outside and sees Dae Woong and later, he was following him. Even in the evening Dae Woong used to light the laptop at a certain place but then Cha Il came here and told him gave me laptop, but Dae Woong put the laptop in the fire. In the next scene, Cha Il comes to the construction site and is watching the CCTV footage of the day of the accident. The crane operator was injured, and Young Sik is taking him away. Cha Il then comes to the hospital to see the CCTV footage and here he meets Se Woong. Se Woong takes him to his brother Geon Woong because today is Geon Woong’s birthday. And somewhere Dae Woong was talking to Gil Pyo and telling him that I have burnt the laptop so don’t worry.

In the next scene, Seo Jin comes to know that the crane accident had occurred around 10 o’clock that day but the crane operator was brought to the hospital at 4 o’clock in the evening and this thing is strange. Then Cha Il calls Seo Jin and asks her to find out about a man named Byung Jin. Later, Seo Jin sends Byeong Jin’s address to Cha Il. Han Soo is also nearby and tells Seo Jin to send this address to me also, I am going to Cha Il. In the next scene Han Soo comes near Cha Il which happens at Byung Jin’s house. Han Soo asks Cha Il who is this Byung Jin and what were you doing in this house. Seo Jin also calls Cha Il tells him all that the crane operator was brought to the hospital at 4 o’clock. Later, Cha Il took Han Soo to a place and showed him a photo and said that this photo is of Byung Sik who was operating the crane on the day of the accident but Han Soo says that this cannot happen, Mr. Choi was driving the crane, but Cha Il said that I had seen the CCTV footage, the man who fell down from the crane and the operator who was brought to the hospital, both were different, Young Sik changed both of them it.

In the next scene, both of them come to the nearby place because they had doubt whether Young Sik could be here, however, Young Sik is here who was earlier stabbing with a knife and tells him to go. Cha Il sees that there is Byung Sik here whose treatment is going on. Han Soo asked Young Sik to stop and was telling him that your daughter knows that you were hurt, and she was crying, why did you do this. Now Young Sik will tell everyone the truth as to how all this happened. I called Gil Pyo because I thought Byung Sik was dead, and Gil Pyo called me to bury Young Sik’s body because if the police come to know about it then we would go to jail and our construction work would come to a halt. But later I came to know that Young Sik is alive, and I brought him here and sent MR. Choi to the hospital. I done all this for my daughter’s marriage. Then the police take Young Sik from here.

In the next scene, Cha Il is with SE Woong and is asking for permission to audit Gil Pyo work and Se Woong said yes. In the next scene, Han Soo comes to Young Sik and asks him whether he had talked to Gil Pyo on phone or what are you recording conversation at that time. Young Sik had told him that I have a recording and that recording is at that place.
The Auditors Episode 2 Ending
In the next scene, Gil Pyo’s work was being audited and the recording was played to everyone. Now it was proved what orders Gil Pyo had given to Young Sik. Cha Il here apologizes to Dae Woong because he had burnt the laptop. In the next scene, Dae Woong comes to Seo Jin’s mother, later Seo Jin also comes here and now we see here that Dae Woong and Seo Jin know to each other. In the next scene, there was a laptop burning near Cha Il. At the end of the episode some people were protesting, and the audit team was watching them.

The Auditors Episode 2 Review
I really liked the episode. In this episode it was interesting to see how Cha Il gave two options to Dae Woong, and he had to apologize. We also came to know about Seo Jin and Dae Woong that both of them know each other. Han Soo who earlier considered Cha Il a bad person has now also joined Cha Il’s side.
